Photo: While many companies offer a lower priced tower bar in comparison to a Carbing unit, they often come with a major flaw in design. These low cost conventional type bars are connected to the baseplates and bar with a simple bolt and nut. Under extreme pressure and load, the baseplate remains securely fastened to the chassis but the bar itself is known to flex on the single bolt like a pendulum and offers no rigidity. Each Carbing bar is fully hand-welded. Okuyama-san points to the triangulated aluminum bar design welded in sections, which offers a stronger setup than its competitors.

 

What is the Strut Tower Bar
Strut Tower Bar is a standard item for body reinforcement. It will stabilize suspension’s behavior by preventing body from twisting at cornering. This is particularly effective with old models.
Fitting a Strut Tower Bar to front section of a car will improve steering response. And also improves controllability of the car when fitted at the rear section as rear section’s behavior becomes more recognizable.
Installations of these are easy, prices are reasonable, and most of all it enhances your car’s appearance.

CARBING utilizes A5052 for aluminum type models and STKM13A for steel type models, along with original design, to create a unique strut bar that is both strong and lightweight.
TYPE I,II,V,D are used 20×40φ shaft and TYPE R,
RSP are used 30×50φ.

It is known that aluminum is softer than steel. By increasing wall thickness, as well as the thickness of the bracket section, CARBING is able to create a unique strut bar with the strength of steel, but the weight of aluminum.
2.Fully welded between Shaft and Bracket, it is able to have maximum rigidity and eliminate stress-relief points.
Tower bar CARBING strut bars are fully welded, creating extremely high rigidity and reducing weight. Every single product is hand welding by skilled welders.
As a result CARBING strut bars are some of the most beautiful looking and superb quality strut bars.
3. The heavy-gauge, 4.5mm˜5.0mm, aluminum base plate is applied.
Tower bar Bracket thickness is 4.55.0mm that thickness makes enough strength and rigidity.Bracket’s back-surface is same shape as strut tower’s top-end.
Between strut tower and strut bar’s base plate there is no space because we measured each car for each product.

All welded constriction 2point shaped strut bar.
This is the CARBING standard strut bar.

TYPE R TYPE X TYPE RSP
All welded constriction 2 point strut bar.30×50φ shaped main shaft is applied.

5.About a bolt joint
bolt joint For some cars that have a minimum space or difficulty of installation, main bar and basement are separated.
Usually conventional type of strut bar connects between bar and basement by one bolt and nut, but strong stress input will relief stress and allow to move its basement because of pushing stresses from suspensions and therefore it doesn’t make a good result.
CARBING strut bar use twin bolt method that makes almost same rigidity as welded joint.

A master cylinder stopper regulates movement of firewall at breaking and also makes grate feeling of pedal touch control.

What is the Lower Arm Bar?
Lower arm bar is an undercarriage reinforcement part, which helps to get the best performance that suspensions can naturally offer.
It bridges left and right suspension arm’s mounting points together so as to prevent suspension member from twisting, thus wheel alignment keeps straight.
It also increases body stiffness because it is mounted at the frame part where it is directory attached to the body.
As Lower Arm Bars are installed at the lower part of vehicles body, no worries necessary about C.G, elevations by weight increase.

The Ovalshaft, which has a highly strong endurance against the twist,is adopted to the carrying stopper of all items.
The section of the shaft and the bracket has made the one constitution by means of welding. the light weight and high strength of the section has been realized.

Characteristics of Carbing Lower Arm Bar
Bracket & Shft CARBING Lower Arm bars are utilized STKM13A steel oval shaft (20×40φ) because of advantage of twist rigidity. Bracket part is designed pipe shape for high strength between body and the bar.(except some cars) moreover, its shaft and bracket are fully welded.
The CARBING Lower Arm bar highly effect for a vehicle that have up-graded big wheel or high-grip tire especially heavyweight car.

This is the CARBING standard lower arm bar.

3.Rear type
Weak point of the hatch-back type vehicle aft body has strengthened by installing this Rear Frame Brace.
Waddling sensation of bad trail lane changes and larger wheel (inch up) vehicle improves for a smoother ride.
Our Rear Frame Brace is installed above the spare tire space. This makes no interference in trunk space.
This device is strongly recommended for the vehicles with big opening in the rear part of the body such as Rear hatch back type vehicles and Mini vans.
