It is not necessary in countries not requiring TUV approval. However we advise you to inform your insurance company of the modification.

Is it possible for Garages to detect that Code:Red system has been installed?

Current standard garage diagnostic testing equipment can not detect the Code:Red product install onto a car

Is it possible to reinstall the standard software?

The standard software can be reinstalled using the Code:Red hand held processor unit at any time.

Is the Code:Red system visible?

There is no physical evidence that the Code:Red System has been installed – The only way it can be detected is by driving the car of running the car on a rolling road and measuring the power.

Is it possible to feel the difference once the Code:Red system has been installed?

You will feel an immediate improvement in the engines torque at the low-mid rev range. The increase in maximum power can also be experienced at higher revs. In many cases the engine will also be much smoother

Is it necessary to add oil coolers or similar engine modifications?

The installation of the basic Code:Red system does not need any further engine modifications. However it is strongly recommended that you install a suitable intercooler if you plan to carry out further engine upgrades using the raid-hp modular tuning programme

Will the Code: Red system reduce the life and reliability of the engine

Under normal driving conditions the Code;Red system will not affect the life and reliability of the engine. – However repeated abuse of the engine over a long period of time, running it at maximum power, will start to have a detrimental effect on the engine just in the same way it would on the standard engine.

Is it possible to add aftermarket Sports airfilters and Sports exhaust to a car with Code:Red System installed?

The installation of aftermarket Sports airfilters and Exhaust will not have a negative effect on the Code:Red system. Installation of further upgrades, such as the raidhp modular tuning packages, will require optimised Code:Red system software upgrade to suit the new modifications.

Is it possible to upgrade my Code:Red software over the internet

Yes it will be possible to log onto the raidhp web site, connect the Code:Red hand processor to your computer using the USB cable supplied, and obtain further upgrades.

What effect will the installation of the Code:Red System have on the manufacturers warranty on my car

The installation of any tuning software will invalidate your standard vehicle manufactures warranty

Note: The Code:Red System is undetectable to the majority of garage diagnostic equipment. However for peace of mind we also offer an extensive warranty programme, for a small additional cost, which comprehensively covers the engine, turbo and drive train (gearbox driveshaft’s etc) as well as any vehicle recovery costs and car hire while the car is being repaired.

What warranty is offered with the product?

5 years for Code:Red software and 3 years for the Code:Red unit.

Does the installation of Code:Red lead automatically into increase of fuel consumption?

No, when usual driving behaviour is being continued. Only by constant usage of increased power an increase of fuel consumption is possible. With some Dieselengines we achieved even a drop in consumptions in certain rev ranges.

Does my car require additional service after the installation of code:Red?

No, only normal service intervals have to be followed.
