FK Wheel Spacers - FK TUV Approved Wheel Spacer System

All FK wheel spacers are made in Germany and are TUV approved for use on German roads. You may have seen cheaper wheel spacer systems than FK but are they really worth it? Wheel spacers are a safety critical component, is it worth the risk buying wheel spacers that don't have TUV Approval?

FK Wheel Spacer System - How to order:

1. Measure the distance (in mm) from the outer edge of the wheel/tyre to the outer edge of the wheel arch - this will be Distance A

2. Measure the thickness (in mm) of the wheel arch, ie the distance between the outer edge of the wheel arch and the inner edge of the wheel arch - this will be Distance B

So to calculate the largest wheel spacers it is possible to fit use the following formula

Distance A minus Distance B minus 5mm = the largest thickness wheel spacer it is possible to fit

If we look at an example, a Ford Focus up to 2004 has a Distance A of 40mm and a Distance B of 10mm. The largest thickness wheel spacer possible to fit to this car will be 40 minus 10 minus 5 = 25mm per wheel or 50mm per axle.

When you have calculated the wheel spacer thickness you then need to select the correct wheel nuts/bolts.

FK supply two types of wheel bolt, Tapered Head & Round Head, as shown below

1. Decide which style of head you require by looking at your existing wheel bolts. So you will require either Tapered Head or Round Head bolts

2. Determine the Thread length of the bolts you require by measuring the length of your current wheel bolts and add the width of the spacer you require to this number. This will be the Thread length of the bolt you require. For example if you have 25mm Thread length bolts at the moment and you would like to fit 10mm spacers to each wheel, the Thread length of the new bolts you require will be 10 + 25 = 35mm
